Training and Experience

I am a qualified humanistic and integrative psychotherapist, that is, I place high value on the human relationship between client and therapist and call upon a range of theoretical approaches.

I trained as a psychotherapist at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling after working in Bristol secondary education for many years as a teacher and in the pastoral support of young people. I have continued to be interested in all aspects of living that enable us to live our best lives.

In 2013 I began training and working with Trauma Foundation South-West, an organisation that provides long term psychotherapy for asylum seekers and refugees who have had particularly traumatic experience and provides supervision and training for agencies in the third sector. After relocating to Sussex I continue to work with this organisation as a supervisor.
